It is difficult to love those who do not share the same beliefs as we do. This means it is just as difficult to love those in the church as it is to love those outside the church and even more difficult to love God.

Sad that appearances count more than the reality of a loving Father, (and even in some churches, decent attire is no longer a requirement). On a spiritual level, they have God in their mind but not in their hearts. And that’s a tragedy.
I once heard a priest address his congregation especially newcomers on their appearance, as being “Easter and/or Christmas visitors, to give more.” As if this was a healthy way of making them feel welcome. It turned me off from ever accompany my gf to this church. It just shows that for some appearances is worth more. Sad indeed.
Thank you for making us think. Blessings always.
