My favorite Screwtape quote is early in the book. Can’t remember the words now, but… Screwtape writes Wormwood and says that their task is never more in peril, but when the patient’s life is basically in a shambles, but still obeys.
We just keep taking that next step, trusting God will place something beneath our feet.
