Love is not an evangelism tool but rather an extension of who we are as followers of Christ.
There is no us and them, no the ones we show love so they will follow Christ and the ones who follow Christ.
Each Christ follower and collective of Christ followers must make sure they haven’t become so outwardly focused that they have forgotten to love inwardly.
Love Christ followers, love Christ deniers, they are both your neighbour!
This part of your post (“Love is not an evangelism tool”) reminds me of something I’ve heard people new to church say…(paraphrasing here) “Everyone acted like they loved me so much, and then after I made a decision and joined the church, it’s like I didn’t matter anymore. I became invisible.” Lots to think about in this post. Thanks, Dave.
This is exactly what I believe in. You have articulated my views. This is very important. We followers are guilty of loving only similar minded. We forget to love the left out. Great thought. Thanks
