Happy New Year – It’s time to look forward because we have looked back. It is my prayer that 2019 will be built on the lessons learned from properly addressed experiences in our past.
The baggage piles up, the clutter is shoved off to one side. Every time you get a glimpse of what you have stored up you either find a way to ignore it as if to say, “if I don’t look at it, it’s not really there,” or you beat yourself up over the mess and plan to address it but never do. In the end nothing changes, it is what it is – it’s all in the past, until next time.

There I was lying face down surrounded by blue uniforms with my arms restrained. Every fiber of my being wanted to get up and run. The wires piercing the skin just below my neck deliver jolts of pain that radiate through my right shoulder and down my arm and side. (more…)
