The Bible gives us a little understanding of how God works (our minds cannot handle more than a little). It competes with our knowledge; our way of doing things based on our limited perspective, deductive reasoning and experience. My way or God’s way, my knowledge or God’s revelation of how He works is the choice we face every moment of every day.
Rituals and rules limit us to the things we believe we should or shouldn’t do but never encourage us to seek more and to be more in our relationship with God.
God is far beyond our understanding, His approach far beyond our comprehension and His plans calculated far beyond our black and white, do or don’t simplistic attempt at addressing life’s issues.
Slowly the things of this world become accepted as the things of our world as new creations in Christ. This goes unnoticed as the two merge and it becomes difficult to tell the difference between what God says is good and what the world tells us is good through the media we consume.
Worship Him, Praise Him, Glorify Him but don’t market Him. Marketing is a ploy to cover up any possible issues; church is an opportunity to stand with other followers of Christ and be strengthened as we face issues.
