It’s a grey day. The dampness feels like it has found its way through the layers of skin and tissue, penetrating to the core of my being. There is no sun visible in the sky. I know the truth. Rules can give us a false sense of security. Don’t place your faith in your ability to create and follow rules that please God. Place your faith in God.
Happy New Year – It’s time to look forward because we have looked back. It is my prayer that 2019 will be built on the lessons learned from properly addressed experiences in our past.
The baggage piles up, the clutter is shoved off to one side. Every time you get a glimpse of what you have stored up you either find a way to ignore it as if to say, “if I don’t look at it, it’s not really there,” or you beat yourself up over the mess and plan to address it but never do. In the end nothing changes, it is what it is – it’s all in the past, until next time.
