I sometimes feel like we as Christ followers and the collective of Christ followers have, in our attempts to look good, used excellence as a way to bring attention to ourselves rather than as a way to point to God.
What famous theologian said that he feared that modern man had a life-long quest to look good without being good? Might have been Tozer, but that’s just a guess.
