Separating The Sheep from the G.O.A.T.s

It seems wrong but maybe we need to undertake this task. Jesus, in (Matthew 25:31-46 NIV), talks of His return and that at that time He will separate the sheep from the goats. I am not Jesus and I will not be returning in glory with all the angels but right now I think the task of separating the sheep from the G.O.A.T.s might be a good approach to refocussing my life on true Christ following rather than the hype of the modern day Christianity. In our western civilization and its distorted version of Christian values, we must hit reset by separating the idea that aiming to be recognized and rewarded based on worldly parameters is not a desirable pursuit. It’s time to separate the sheep from the G.O.A.Ts.

A Better Version of You.

The single most paralyzing thought doubles as the single most effective weapon for Satan. While the thought may be identical, the attempts to neutralize the sting of this reality vary widely. Telling yourself the truth is always a great place to start addressing the realities of life even when the realities seem too painful to confront. The problem for most of us isn’t the truth but instead what masquerades as truth when we are faced with the harsh reality that each one of us is not good enough.

Transition – Discovering God’s Call for Your Church

Many of you know that my calling is to a very specific field of ministry in the church. I am a transitional pastor. I help congregations discover God’s call for their collective of Christ followers. I met Bruce Cormier and his wife Lesia at my last transition. Together we, the collective of Christ followers called Cornerstone Christian Fellowship – Mimico and myself, set out on what ended up being an 18 month journey to understand what God was saying about the future of our church. We had a building. We had a small in-person congregation of about 30 and a similar sized online group who, in their younger years had attended in person. It took me 18 months to get to this point and Bruce managed to say it in just over 1500 words!

This little church has close to doubled in size and continues to grow under their new permanent pastor. The biggest question we needed to answer was about the building the church owned. As you read this, maybe your church needs to ask itself the same question they were asking:

I Want To Be Tormented

It seems to be an odd desire. If someone said this to me, it would certainly suggest that they were a little off. I not only want to be tormented, I want to a Lot. Are you getting concerned? Are you wondering about my mental stability? If my premise for this post is convincing, you too will be asking to be tormented, you will want to be a Lot. Now you are probably very concerned.

The New NoStick

I don’t usually do reviews on my blog. I love to cook and have used a variety of pots and pans. I am a big fan of cast iron and stainless steel because they can be used at high temperatures and don’t scratch easily. That being said, simple meals on no-stick pans makes sense. Me writing about no-stick doesn’t but me writing about NoStick does if you give me a chance and read on.
